Denis Vargas joined the Student Affairs Marketing and Communications team in 2023 after working as a graphic designer in branding and editorial design. Hailing from Puerto Rico, he moved to Central Florida in 2011 and graduated from Valencia College in Orlando FL in 2015. 

Denis has been recognized with Charlie Awards from Florida Magazine Association the during his tenure with the Orlando Magazine (2017-2023) as an assistant art director and then senior art director. He continues to impress with honors including first place in ACUI Steal This Idea contest with his promotional campaign for Serial Bar (2023), third place with the SGA Alumni Newsletter (2024) and an honorable mention with the Niner Pride t-shirt (2024).
